Absolutly
I attended Mott Hall from 1988 to 1992. As an adult I now can honestly say Mott Hall gave me building blocks in undertanding what responsibility is as well as accountability wether it was good or bad. The staff I remember as a child, trully cared for all of their students. I am sure the tradition has carried strong through the years.

I am a member of Mott Hall's first graduating class who attending from 4th - 8th grade(1985 - 1990).  Its great to see how Mott Hall has evolved since I attending classes there so many years ago.  I haven't visited the school since the 1990's-definitely interested to see how much things have changed since I was a student there.

Well i dunno where to start, i was bored and out of curiosity came to read all the stuff people write and stuff. WOW. as i read each blog thingy i realized how many memories i have at this skool, and how it suks to have left. I wasn't even missing Mott Hall that much, there are names like Ms. Skea that i dont even remember how to pronounce anymore! I've realized that it's so weird to be gone from Mott Hall, it has u in this little bubble that provided protection and stuff. and i miss that bubble! yea im in laguradia and its TONNNNSSS of funn and ive made GREATT friends there, but now that i came back to this website and read all the blog thingys i really miss it. you never know how much ure gonna miss MHS until ure gone, and wow im so reminiscing right now about all those great memories i have from like 7th and 6th, and 5th and 8th grade. like in homeroom 703 when we'd all get in trouble with carlotta in lunch and ms. torres cause we'd talk to much and during social studies the next class had to face ms. torres's bad mood b/c of us. And how Ms. Herzog never remebered she'd assignes us HW and when she'd ask to hand in the homework, we'd be like "waaa??!! u didnt assign homewrok" and she'd agree and say it was due the next day. LOL. and during sceience fair when we'd go and talk to a bunch of people and take pictures when the judges and teachers were around. FROSSTT VALLLEEEYY. those were the good dayss.. I can jusst go on and on about how much fun i had at MOtt Hall. and now i feel bad that i haven't visited at all. so maybe i will...sooner or later. but yea everyone should cherish their experiences at MHS, and thiss skool really does prepare when it comes to academics and stuff in HS. I SUCKED at math in Mr. Cabrera's(woot woot!) calss, but now I'm like the smartest person in my skool. its so weerd but i <3<3 it. so yea, MOtt Hall ure the greatest skool of all, and i luv u MHS. man, who new that little skool could contain so many huge and great memories.

shououts to mr. palmieri, mr cabrera, mr ferniii. marisol,,

peece out other motthallerrzzz,

ummm. LiKE?OF COURSEEEE!
woah, going to mott hall was seriously a once in a lifetime experience. I honestly don't think i'll ever be someplace where everyone is so close and looks out for one another. Sure, we've had our fights, but i bet even the worst of enemies hugged each other on the last day of school, crying their eyes out and saying "i gonna miss you so much! i love you!". I know i did, and i don't regret it because i know what's gonna happen when we walk down the halls of our new high schools,
D R A M A
and it's gonna be 10x worse, so that "enemy" you had is gonna start looking a lot like your best friend.and that's what's so great about mott hall!
for 5 years, it has taught us to love each other unconditionally, no matter what happens, and many other life lessons.

like remember, class of '08, the first day of seventh grade
(back in our Ms. Einstein days) she said that wearing our uniform taught us how to dress in the professional world, so that if we ever need a suit for an interview, we can always take out our khakis&blues! if it still fits.

and class 803, mr.cabrera was the best homeroom teacher any student could've asked for. he wasn't soft on us, he was always tough but fair. sometimes he wasn't fair but that taught us what life is gonna be outside of mott hall. YOU ROCK MR.CLEAN!

and the best teacher ever, undisputedly had to be ms.mccrillis. she taught us everything under the sun, from racism to the enviroment. she wasn't just an english teacher, she was REAL and acted that way too. she exposed us to stuff that she knew was gonna happen out there, so Ms.McCrillis, if you ever read this thankyou. so guys, i know what you say "oh we're never gonna need to know how to factor radicals why did he teach us that" or "gosh mr.augenbraun is sooo much harder than ms.diez" but guess what? you're wrong, because mott hall and the teachers didnt only teach us what's in the textbooks, they taught us about real life, what's really gonna happen out there. so instead of bashing them for the boring reading assignments, or those weekly math quizzes that only Alexander S. and Anthony B. could pass, we should be thanking them for getting us ready.
just ask anyone who's graduated, they know what i'm talking about.

peace out,
Anonymous
CLASS OF 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.
one person who taught us the textbook and real life, one person who showed us no mercy when it came to schoolwork, but  offered us all the advice she could. one person i know everyone in 701 and 703 could NEVER forget,Ms. Torres.

now that was one heck of a 7th grade teacher.

YOU WERE THE BEST MS.TORRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.p.s
ok, so i know this message is kinda, no REALLy gets off topic alot of the times, but all i'm trying to get across to my fellow 08 alumni and MHS students yet to graduate is that mott hall is phenomenal because it teaches us wayyyyy more than just factorial equations and figurative language, it taught us what the real world is like.

Hello everyone and most especially my wonderful class of 2005,
I am proud to say that I would have never made it this far without
my MHS family/community. I am now a Junior in a boarding school
located in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.I must admit
that even though it was hard adjusting to a new environment, I couldnt
be more grateful for being at such a wonderful school which has
provided me with a variety of wonderful people who help me be the best
I can be. I want to send a special thanks to Ms. Boros, Ms. Chinnery, Ms. Ortiz, and Mr. Fernandez, because i wouldn't have been attending this amazing school if it weren't for their effort, time and dedication. Thank you for also giving me strength in my times of need and for giving me hope to succeed. As many may already know I am what they call a "Fashion Fanatic" and although i did not attend Fashion Industries were i originally got admitted, i have the same opportunities and maybe even more here in Philadelphia. The networking that i have established is far beyond amazing for a kid at my age. Not many receive the opportunites to meet people who will surely give all the assistance necessary in order to help the other acquire their goals. I plan to major in Bussiness Management and have already had an insight of what it would be like to do so...Once again, thank you to all those wonderful angels that have helped me along the way and i would like to make it clear that i HAVE NOT forgotten about all of you previously mentioned. I am looking foward to returning to MHS whenever i get the chance, so see you all soon.

And as to my fellow MHS brothers and sister yet to graduate,
Reach for the Stars, Anything is possible through determination and
effort.

Best wishes to all,
Lorena Breton

I am very proud to be part of the first class to matriculate from the 4th grade and graduate 8th grade in 1988 - "back in the day".  Without hesitation I can say that much of what I do and enjoy presently would not be, if it were not for Mott Hall.

I'm currenlty living in San Francisco, and working at an investment bank funding companies with disruptive technologies that are revolutionizing alternative energy, "clean tech", semi-conductors, high-bandwith data networking and data storage.  Mott Hall built the foundation for my ultimate career path, without a doubt.

It's been a while since I was back "home" in NYC, but I make a point of checking the interenet for news about the school, and love seeing all the great press and awards.  Again, I cannot emphasize how proud I am to have the Mott Hall pedigree.  It's made all the difference in my life!!
